A small part of Aymeric wished that there was some relief in not being the only one to hear the voices of others from home. But not in this scenario - and not with Finnick heading further into the trees.
"Finnick!" he barks. Aymeric dashes, catching up to his companion, and placing a bracing hand on his shoulder. "Finnick! Come to your senses!"
In quickly checking their new surroundings, Aymeric sees something new over Finnick's shoulder: two stone tablets lying upon the ground. As Leofard catches up as well, his fear lessens at the sight of something with archaeological potential.
"What have we here?" Leofard comments as he approaches the tablets. Aymeric's warning not to touch them falls on deaf ears - but luckily, nothing happens when Leofard picks one up.
And there was some relief in that, at least.
Aymeric moved to partially be in Finnick's field of view, just as the voice of his late mother calls out again, making him flinch. "I mistrust the nature of this place. I fear you are right in saying this place is a trap. We should leave."
