"No matter," he says with a reassuring smile. "I'm strong enough to climb even with you on my back, lad. It will be a bit of a bumby ride on the way up but I'll keep us both safe and sound until we have made it out."

Climbing with just one hand unfortunately meant he'd have to be a bit creative about it and the boy might find it a bit frightening but Maedhros was a steady enough hand at it that he had no fear of either of them falling.

Once the boy is strapped to his back he flexes his arms a bit to test out his range of movement and stretch his muscles a bit before all the strain he'll put on them with this climb. "Well, no reason to tarry. Everything good on your end, youngling? Nothing too tight or too loose?"

Once everything was in order he hoisted himself up un the rope using his hand, his arm and his feet to make his way up the rope. It was, as he'd warned, not exactly a smooth ride up the rope and it was slow going as well. Maedhros climbed with the same single minded determination that had seen him through many a difficult task and slowly but surely he reached the top once again, draging both himself and the boy strapped to his back up onto solid ground again where he could catch his breath and wipe the sweat of his brow.

"We're up!" He calls down to Barcus.
