Maedhros simply meets the scrutiny with a long look of his own, letting Loki make of him what he will. Either he'll find what he's looking for or he won't and there's not much Maedhros can do about that. He just hopes whatever he sees will make him more likely to co-operate a bit until they find a way out of this place.

"Yes," he says. "Though the one I saw has been dead for quite some time now... so the trick was rather obvious. An illusion conjured to cause us to grow fearful and unceartain, no doubt."

He gives Loki a sympathetic look. "This place does unfortunately strip us of both our belongings and our powers, I'm afraid. Given time you'll be able to work your way to buying them back... supposing, of course, that we escape these damnable woods first."
