"I'm not all that used to forests when it comes down to it," he admits. "Plant life in the Underdark is a little different. Forest-like areas around my clan were all giant mushrooms, sometimes mean little brambles that'd tear up your ankles going through them."

"Do you have myconids in your world? If you like woads, you'd love them."

He chuckles at the question. "Being small helps, my skin color is excellent for hiding in shadows, and deep gnomes excel at being quiet, at least when we're not working in the mines."
