That was true, he supposed, he still couldn't quite shake the shock of seeing it there. One small part of him wondered whether he was back in Angband for a moment, if this was all just another cruel illusion to taunt him with. It's enough to make him glance down at the stump of his right hand, breathing a sigh of relief when he sees that his hand is not there. He'd always had two hands in Angband. He was not there and he could not let himself let those doubts creep in again.
In truth he hardly notices how tightly Finnick grips his hand. He's grown too used to pain and discomfort to truly give much thought to a bit of added pressure. Besides, he to want's out of these woods and the paranoia they are kindling within his mind. So he follows quite willingly behind his friend as he pulls him forwards.
"Finnick!" He calls out as the other crashes through the pitfall they'd both missed in their distress. Taking a few quick steps he makes his way towards the edge of the trap to help get him out again. "Are you hurt?"
