"Most darkness is a neutral thing," he murmurs. "A dark cave is no more good or evil than the situation makes it... but once it starts to become an almost physical thing? Something that spreads it's tendrils to dampen whatever light it comes across? In my experience that sort of darkness is an unnatural thing and usualy comes from something... decidedly unpleasant."

He nods, still disturbed by the darkness. "Since it seems to have dried up it serves little use in any case."

It might be slow going, but seeing as there are an unknown quantity in the mix now with this unnatural darkness he does not mind it. "Don't worry, I'll not add more trouble by becoming yet another person in need of rescuing. If it get's too narrow I'll say so."
