"Middle of nowhere was the temple for me, but I loved it," he admits. "That's where I went. I met some followers of Ilmater in the city and I decided I wanted to be like them. So when they left, I left. That's been my life ever since."

Verity looks down at the road as they follow it, taking notice of different tracks but there's nothing unusual yet.
