"So there was wisdom behind his words. Take the wisdom, and leave the rest." It's not always that simple, but just because it was difficult did not make it bad.

"Some of us have been accused of such." Back home, he had been accused--probably rightly--of sharp words towards Lieutenant Titus. Almost to the point of being reported to the Chaplain for censure. "Sharp words that come from loyalty and duty are better than soft words that deceive." Sure, there's the secret third option to say things...nicely, but who can do that?

"Friends should also thank each other, though. A brother saves your life, you should at least acknowledge that in word, if not in deed." So, like...same, right? Also, note to self: rocks. "Is there a kind of stone you are interested in?" Because Gadriel gets around a lot.
