Pen didn't mention demons, as the best way to avoid giving himself away. At least his religious affiliation, and possibly his status as a sorcerer, though Des was still taking Rolan's opinion personally, sulking about how the pretty ones didn't have to be so mean.
(Pen wasn't going to put out all the times Des has suggested fire as a solution to the problem. Or threatened people who threatened Pen, even if they couldn't hear her.)
