Felix's face pulls into a scowl as John admits he's attracted to Adrian. He's surprised at the strong feelings of posessiveness and protectiveness that arise in himself. He didn't even know John and Adrian were "friends"... He knows Adrian only has eyes for him, but it's all still new, and he's still worried it could be snatched away from him at any moment.

Felix pushes all of that down. It's stupid, and to admit to it would show how strongly he feels for Adrian, which he's not willing to do in front of this stranger yet.

He sits on the ground and continues petting as he listens to John's next bit. It's... Wow. There's a lot to unpack here. Why is John telling Felix all this? The worst part is that Felix can't say he doesn't relate- he was also very repressed back home, with sexuality in general, and embracing it here is a strange, scary, new process. But he couldn't see himself ever doing what John is doing, calling people's 'friends' attractive. It rubs Felix the wrong way, just the fact that John is being so open like that, because if Felix admitted something like that out loud, he'd be so embarrassed. Perhaps it's second-hand embarrassment, then? Who knows.

"I guess I'm the same," he says quietly, with a shrug. Felix likes guys and girls, but there's only one person he'd consider himself anywhere close to love with.
