Bel takes Barcus's shift in position as an invitation, letting his hand stroke Barcus's inner thigh before moving upward, focusing on Barcus's reaction to each new place: thighs to ass, before starting to move his hand forward. As much as Bel is savoring things, he has to admit, some of the slowness is because the angle of his hand and arm means a little more thought needs to go into the motions.

"Just shows it has to be the right lover, then," he adds. Which... well, as much as Bel thinks of himself as 'good in bed', there's still a warm feeling from being desired by someone who saw him as a person (as opposed to 'a good-looking male drow'), and who Bel had desired back. There is a difference between a simple pride in a skill, and being wanted as a person.
