Gods, he should have done this earlier. When someone looks at him like that, Bel is going to feel something, and he might have actually noticed Barcus in this way sooner. (The part of Bel's brain that is still capable of logic would point out that this wouldn't have worked without being a friendship first, but logic is not Bel's priority at the moment save for the task of getting home.)

"Your bedroom is closer to the front door than mine." Bel's bed would fit them both, but it was in the back of the house. And at the moment, that was clearly the priority. "And I've discovered a taste for cuddling since coming here, if you don't mind that I'll be awake before you, even if I don't get up."

It didn't bother Bel -- he might only need four hours in reverie rather than six to eight hours of sleep, but he was perfectly capable of lazily dozing with a non-elven lover sleeping beside him. Given the recent weather, staying in a warm bed sounded better than trying to get up and do things. (And if he eventually did get hungry for actual food, there was always the fact that everyone likes waking up to someone else cooking breakfast.)
