But an elf with darker skin did seem a bit strange as Sam tried to picture it, not that it really made no difference to him. Elves had always been a thing of mystery and they'd been rather kind and helpful from Sam's experience. So if Barcus said this fellow was alright, then that was good enough for Sam.
