"It depends! Sometimes it's piles of gold, sometimes it's a magic item or five, sometimes it's even a divinely blessed holy relic!" Furfur shrugs, his tail swishing near his ankles much like an excited puppy. "You never really know until you find it. That's what makes it so fun to me. I like crawling through dungeons, solving puzzles, and seeing what we find on the other side."
With a smile, Furfur reaches out to boop Alma's nose. "Back home, you'd probably be somethin' like a School of Lore bard. They study everythin' from history to geography to monsters and animals. They make fantastic storytellers, and most parties are happy to have one around. Otherwise, they have to settle for a wizard," he adds with a chuckle and a wink. "And those guys are insufferable."
"It's fine, not the first time I've had to completely replace my gear," Furfur grumbles as the topic turns back weapons and equipment. "Just the first time I've had to do it with any kind of coin in my pocket to buy it with. Thankfully, there's a couple jobs on the board that are doable without weapons, and I'm more than comfortable slutting it up for cash."
