Bel made a thoughtful sound, trying not to get distracted by Finnick's attention on his ear. He shifts position a bit.

"I like choosing something lasting to remind me of a good experience with a close friend in a biting mood," Bel finally said, with a grin. "I'm learning there are a lot of things I might like in the correct context, so I'm experimenting a bit to find out what sounds good now."

Because in the context of someone trying to claim ownership of him, Bel hated the idea. In the context of 'I have an enthusiastic lover', that pleased Bel. (And it helped that Caldera was the sort of place that wasn't going to make assumptions.)
