What Imoen saw was far from the hardest thing she could have seen... but Jade certainly didn't feel as though her experience was being diminished.

Still, she's always struggled with relying on others. Asking for help. It just wasn't something she did, because she never expected anything from other people. She doesn't want to think like that from Imoen, though.

"Guess so." Jade opens her mouth to say more, but guilt over her outburst when Imoen tried reaching out still lingers. She bites her tongue. "I'm sorry again... for yelling earlier. You didn't deserve that."

It was instinct; a poison of old habits whenever people tried to get close to her.
