The line got a laugh. "It's a regular joy in my own life to break so many of the rules I learned in my youth," Bel admitted. "Or just what people expect of me. Never doing things I wouldn't want to do, but..." But there was a part of him that liked thumbing his nose at convention, especially because it always seemed like something that he was made to serve, not that served him.

"I trust you, too." he added more seriously. "I don't think I'd be doing this if I didn't."

Of course, now he had to remember if this place had table service or if he'd have to get up to get a drink.
