He would probably figure out pretty quickly, if he hadn't already, that Halsin was always hard on himself. He just hid it well most of the time until he couldn't. But his words seem to have struck a chord even with himself but he brushed it aside for now since his focus was on Lulu.

He smiled gently when he saw the unshed tears in the duck's eyes, nodding his head. "She is that."

It was his turn to look briefly bashful as he started to lower Lulu back into the water while being told he was a hell of a good guy. He wanted to say that he tried his best but he was quickly distracted, a smile appearing again. "It's been a long while since I've taken cat form and just lazed around for a while. I would be happy to do that with you, whenever you want."
