It isn't as if there will be anything waiting for me elsewhere."

He doesn't look up at Touya as he says that; he knows just as well as anyone why he'd ended up at Pumpkin Hollow, and there was nobody waiting for him back in his own universe. This seemed like as good a place as any to try and set himself up.
