Halsin shook his head with a click of his tongue, ignoring Lulu's protests about being there to comfort him and being the therapy duck. He was better at this, he was better at supporting and comforting others than wallowing in his own despair.
"It is never just one person," he continued, turning the conversation back. "You might say it was all you but she had to play a part in it if it caused the demise of your relationship. Maybe it wasn't equal, maybe there is a lot for you to make up for."
"But she could have done more than just leaving." Then he tilted his head, thinking. "Are you sure thought that she left of her own free will?"
