It's easy, leaving his hand in Touya's grasp for now. He can justify it by claiming that he just doesn't want them to suddenly be separated.

"If they can do more than I can on my own, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it," Bart urges gently. "But I will be there right beside you the entire time as your primary care provider. I could even learn a thing or two about their methods in that case."

He's maybe one or two steps too far ahead at present, but thinking about the nuances of it all is better than dwelling on the displacement.

"I suppose we should figure out where we actually want to stay... There's a place that I was looking at, but I didn't want to step through some kind of portal before I knew whether I would be able to travel back."
