"Only at first," He replies smoothly, thinking back to the first little while when they had been focused on cleaning up after Corypheus and wondering where Solas had gone. Not that he thinks the Inquisitor had needed him but he had been happy to help as had the rest of his team. "But after the Inquisition was no more, we decided to go back to what we do best."

Not that he had abandoned the Inquisitor completely, not at all. All she had ever needed to do was send for him and he would return, ready to offer her and Red whatever he could.

Then he lets out a deep laugh, looking truly amused. Perhaps it is a bit unkind to tease Solas about it but he can't imagine it happens often that someone pulls a fast one on him. "You got kidnapped? You, of all people, would be the last one I would expect to get kidnapped. Who managed that and can I meet them?"

But even as he laughs and teases, acting like a buffoon over something so trivial, he is watching Solas closely. More noticeably when he hears that Solas has been 'assisting' the Inquisitor. He isn't surprised given their connection but he knows now he will have to bring this up with her, especially since he doesn't want to see her get hurt again by Solas's schemes.
