Once he had recovered, Dimitri had decided it best not to approach Imogen again for... a while. If she had suffered the same as he had, the awkwardness and tension between them would be insurmountable. So he opted to meander off to a tavern after, at the very least, checking to see that she had made it home — flickering candlelight in her bedroom window telling him all he needed at the time.

And now he was here, lost in thought and half thinking he was hallucinating again when he saw her across the way, his cheeks immediately turning red. Blame it on the heat. Yes.
