Hearing the name Vax has to bite his tongue to keep from interrupting John. Oh he knows Finnick. Knows the man well enough to know that the words this one says are very true. Instead he nods, listening, smiling. At least for a while before he has to say something.

"Oh I know Finnick. Met him when I was still settling in here," Nodding Vax smiles. "He's just as you describe, though I will say...you must have it bad. They way you talk about him, you'd almost think him some mysterious siren from the sea." He teases but it's all in good nature and not at all to belittle how John spoke about Finnick. Hell, Vax thinks it's sweet.

"Should I call him? See if he can come and help me get you home?"
