She did look at him but she wouldn't buy right off that he wasn't harmless, she knew better than that. Hell, she used that same tactic as most people wouldn't believe her capable of half the stuff she could do. Exactly for the same reason, where she has had a lot of practice appearing non-threatening in a lot of different situations.

"Now now, why would I answer that?" She asked with a cheeky little smirk as she looked up at him after taking another sip of her drink. "I mean, I'm sitting here alone but wouldn't it be more fun to make you wonder?"
