Finnick considers telling him that he sleeps with almost anyone who's willing, but decides against it. He doesn't want John to think Finnick chose to sleep with him out of some sort of magical love at first sight thing, but he also doesn't want to degrade their connection in this tender moment. He does like John quite a bit, more than he likes many others he's slept with, and this sex was among the best. Still, all that is best left unsaid for now.

Instead:

"I'm kind to you because I can tell you're a good man. You deserve kindness, as most people do..." He turns his head to look at John, to brush brown hair out of his eyes with his fingertips. "I'm sorry it's rare for you. It shouldn't be that way. But I'll make up for it, if I can."
