It weighs heavily on him for the fact that had he not been so quick to chose to regain his sword rather than his skills at ósanwë he might have been able to tell whether or not they'd brought anything else with them when they brought the boy out of the well, if a boy it truly had been that they rescued. Foolish of him to opt for the most obvious weapon he had rather than the more subtle one at his disposal. He might have been able to feel something off if he hadn't been so content to keep his mind as closed as it had been since he arrived here.

It's not a mistake he'll make again. When he is done here he'll ask for it back, despite the fact that the prospect of doing so makes him nervous of what it might bring with it. "Yes, later. For now we have a job to do, unpleasant as it will be, and I'll not shy away from it."
