spellblade: (cry a lot fill a room with my tears)

"I never said that." Rook lived under the weight of her choices and mistakes every single dammed day. The gods. Minrathous. The lives of the people she fought beside. Unconsciously she rolled her shoulders as if adjusting that uncomfortable weight, in part because she worried there was more truth to his words than she would've liked, even if the larger part of her insisted that was nonsense and he was doing what he did best. Trickery, lies, manipulation.

"No, Solas, I'll never agree to sacrifice countless lives and raze the world to rubble to rebuild an old dream from the ash. And who are you to decide that for all of us? To call the world broken? To say what's right and what's best? You say you're not a god, that you're nothing like Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain, but you certainly seem to think just like them. Minus the touch of the Blight, sometimes I struggle to spot the difference."
