A smile came to his lips even as his eyes fluttered completely closed.

"Good night.. Sweetheart."

The words felt right upon his lips and he found himself utterly enamored by the feel of that word and the strange somersaults that his heart did in his chest within response. And then he settled his head against Alex's chest and fell into such a deep and delicious sleep, safe in the knowledge that he would get to wake up with Alex come the morning.
