"It does seem a bit of a waste to have all of this garden, and nothing set aside for the kitchen," Simon agreed. "Though typically those gardens are set apart from those gardens meant to be looking at." Simon can appreciate an ornamental garden as much as the next person, but he's also one of those people who is happy making a garden that both is pretty and produces ingredients, and he's only recently had 'staff' that would be upset by his intrusion in the kitchen garden.

(Though in Saltmist, it would be an additional concern as the gardens are all underwater.)
