"Be careful with the Undine quests," advises a small figure of a man near the board. He looks a little worn out, as if he's been up to something strenuous of late, himself. The green jewel in his right ear marks him as Dryad, also. "You'll be doing a hell of a lot of swimming in the cold and dark, and don't go anywhere near the Violet Drop alone."

He's not making any judgment calls on anyone's ability to handle themselves in a fight, under or above the water, but it's definitely a disservice to newcomers to not warn them about what's out there. Not everyone has a chance to read the fine print of each and every quest posted.
