"No doubt they would if they are as you imply them to be." He's not naive, he knows full well people like that would disagree with him. "It does not make me wrong, however. It just mean they are too self-absorbed to realize the how empty such a life is."

"It seems to be so. One can never be entirely sure, of course, but I do know at least one person that has been temporarily returned to his world before being brought back from what I understand." He explains. "So that does at least indicates it might actually be true."

Considering the power of those that brought them here, though, it's not entierly out of the question that something like that could be replicated through other means. Elaborate illusions or simply the implanting of false memories, but it does open the door for the possibility that it is the truth of the matter.
