War is war. Sometimes necessary but always an unfortunate thing. [Maedhros turns cold and ancient eyes upon this human that thinks he can lecture him about war and it's horrors.] When I was young I did. But there have passed millenia since then and the rest of my life has not been sheltered in any way. But I am old. Too old to believe in the lie that war is anything but a horror.
First and foremost I regret not being by my grandfathers side when the Enemy slew him. He should not have had to die alone. [As for the rest he does not know this human well enough to share those regrets.]

He has come to care quite a lot about some of the people here and if Gadriel were to do anything he thought might cause a threat to them he's not above using his sword to remove that threat.] One can only hope. But at least if they do we'll be able to glean some information from it.
