Teaching others some of my skills, since whatever pulled us here doesn't seem that selective."

Bel is pretty sure most soldiers do some of those things. At least, town guards seem to have time off, and Bel himself has done enough caravan guarding that he understands downtime. The praying definitely shifts his own thoughts more to 'paladin' than anything else, which isn't a calling he particularly understands, even from gods he doesn't think are assholes. It might mean he's not the best person to advise, and it might help to point out the few god-botherers he knows. Unless that is a good way to start a religious war.
