It's all well worth it for the space afforded them, but the wonder on Joshua's face is deeply satisfying. For all they've shared the home between them as relative equals, the house does still technically belong to him and as such, remains his responsibility to see to the comfort of its residents.

Dion watches Joshua explore for a few moments, then ventures further to absently inventory what all else they need in addition to the bit of furnishings they already have. Imagines a few chairs tucked away in the nook rounding out the corner as a pleasant reading spot when the morning sun streams in.
