"Lucanis said he was from...later too." She still couldn't really wrap her head around how all of that worked, but she trusted Davrin and Lucanis enough that she wouldn't question it for the moment. And paid a heavy cost. The droop of Bellara's shoulders said as much, said she'd already heard how bad it had been. She shifted on her feet, briefly looking away. "He told me about...about Harding and Neve." She still couldn't believe it. "Is that the same as what you've seen?"

Somewhere, she hoped maybe he'd say otherwise; that everything was fine and Lucanis was just mistaken...but her head said that was silly to hope for.
