"I'm the one that asked," she reassured him, tipping her head into the brush of fingertips stroking her hair back, slipping the strands behind her ear. The shiver that ran through her was an automatic, unconscious response, even in circumstances that weren't ideal; those pointed tips were sensitive. "Insisted, really."
