It wasn't so much that Davrin was dense but more that he was biding his time while also trying to figure her out. He hadn't been lying when he said that he wasn't around other people much or hadn't been until recently. He didn't make rash decisions.

"We'll figure it out later," he shrugged, not seeming worried. "First, let's do the quest and then maybe we can keep an eye out for a different place."
