If asked Ashton would blame that they wanted to make sure Barcus was settled before just walking around, but really it was them who had to get used to the feeling of weight on their shoulders again. It had only been a month since they got there, a month since they had seen their friends. Weird how you could get so used to not being used to something again. But even while they're talking Ashton does start moving, glancing around for the bar or some refreshment table.

"Heh, you know I didn't think about that. Could be." They laugh a bit, careful not to move their head too quickly. They know how sharp those things can be and with someone actually touching them they didn't want to move too fast and possibly scratch the gnome. Though, Barcus did know his stuff when it came to stones and the like so...maybe they didn't have to worry so much. "But if you think my temper's bad now...you should see me really get riled up."
