"Thank you." He offered as she set the cup down, noting upon her second return that she had opted for ale. He couldn't exactly blame her — this seedy little tavern really didn't scream high quality no matter the praises Lucanis offered.

"You can see why I chose it." If he wanted gossip, there was plenty to be had elsewhere. Lucanis took a long sip of coffee. "It is not good news, so if you'd like me to start after you've finished your meal..." He sighed. "Or, I could tell you nothing at all. But that seems... unkind."
