He could understand a show of acrobatics (or at least sheer stubbornness) for air, but he isn't sure what the other two queens want from him. And Bel doesn't like it when a woman in power might expect something from him and he doesn't know what it is. (Even less than when he knows what it is and doesn't want to give it; at least then he can make an informed choice.)
