Loki happens to overhear the young human man's objection to his mask, and for a moment he's just amused, halfway ready to assume it's the purple gems and delicate filigree that he objects to. Something about his evident discomfort even after he puts the thing on says it's more than that, though, and that's intriguing. Maybe there's a hint of compassion left in Loki, or maybe he's just curious, but either way he picks up an extra cup of champagne punch and wanders toward him, offering the cup.
