All he could think about was the not knowing, the ache in his chest every time he imagined whatever horrors she was facing in the Fade alone or, even worse, not alone at all with some demons or spirits or Maker knows what terrorizing her.

"What?" He replied without really thinking. She was talking about the quest? Not — why did she not seem as surprised as he was to see her? Confirmation from Spite suggested that, yes, this was really Rook. But...
