Well, for the most part he tries to avoid speaking to spirits. It's always either incredibly frustrating or it has a habit of turning dangerous, if the spirit in question is an unhoused spirit of a previously living person or of a more malevolent sort. So he hadn't exactly counted on having to talk to any spirit here.

"I'll admit I have less experience with speaking to unhoused spirits such as that," he says when the other points the apparition out to him. "In my experience it's usualy wiser to steer clear of them since they tend to turn... strange and often times violent after death."
